Rhubarb pie
Saturday…Great day for trying something new. Made my first rhubarb pie. I am always experimenting with cooking recipes and testing them on my family. It’s a great compliment to painting vintage bikes. I was pleasantly surprised with this first attempt. Rhubarb is very tart. My daughter and I ate some of the stalk, fresh…turns your mount inside/out, but 2 hours later..1 & 1/3 cups of sugar, 2 pats of butter and WOW! I got a 4 STAR* rating from my family on this one. I wouldn’t eat it every week, but an excellent compliment to any meal on occasion.
